The world is going crazy over Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and rightfully so. This summer has opened on a banger note with Across the Spider-Verse. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has opened with $150 million at the worldwide box office, $80 million of it coming from the domestic market. Into the Spider-Verse started this new revolution in the animation genre and its sequel is putting extremely strong strides forward. The overwhelmingly positive response that the sequel has received is unreal, especially for an animated film. While the first Spider-Verse was super successful it was mostly about the fans and the new strides in animation that landed Into the Spider-Verse its Oscar. However, it didn’t do extraordinarily well at the box office. The same cannot be said for Across the Spider-Verse as it has just crossed Into the Spider-Verse’s lifetime collection in just 10 days.
