Variety reports that Sony Pictures is planning to release Venom 3, the third part of Tom Hardy’s symbiotic trilogy in October 2024. This date also matches with the release dates of the previous two movies in the franchise. Venom released on 5th October 2018 and Venom: Let There Be Carnage released on 1st October 2021. Juno Temple who is a newcomer to the cast of the Venom franchise after her impressive run on Apple TV’s Ted Lasso had said that the filming for the threequel is set to begin very, very soon and she is very thrilled about it. This date also matches with an insider reporter that stated filming would take place in England from June to September. However, we don’t have starting date. Although, I think we don’t need that anymore as we already have out first leaked set photos from Venom 3.
Venom 3: First Set Photos Tease Day of The Dead!
The first leaked photos from Venom 3’s production confirms that the film will be set on the Day of the Dead/Día de los Muertos, which is traditional Mexican holiday. Check out the tweet below that has leaked set images attached to it. The caption reads, “More images from the filming of ‘VENOM 3’! As I said, everything is full of decoration like the Day of the Dead”

Another tweet revealed that the film is currently filming in Cartagena. The caption reads, “They send me these photos from the shooting of ‘VENOM 3’! It seems that the city of Cartagena was filled with graffiti in Spanish, since it will represent Mexico. Filming should start tomorrow”

Day of the Dead is typically celebrated on November 1 and 2 but can be commemorated on October 31 or November 6. Venom 3 joins the list of films to utilize Day of the Dead as a setting. DCU’s Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice used it and even 2016’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows included the festival.
Venom 3 doesn’t have an official release date yet.
