Andor Season 2 will be disappointed to know the latest release update. Following the end of Season 1 in November 2022, showrunner Tony Gilroy hinted that Season 2 was set to arrive on Disney+ sometime in Summer or Fall 2024. The latest update of the most-anticipated Star Wars release makes a 2025 release more likely.
Andor Season 2 Release Update
An official press release of Dinsey teasing upcoming releases of next year omitted Star Wars: Andor Season 2. Though this doesn’t confirm that it won’t be out in 2024, it makes a 2025 release more likely. In that case, the list will include Marvel Studios’ Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, which is rumored to be out in September 2024. But with Darkhold Diaries making this list and Andor Season 2 being left off, it seems more likely that the popular Star Wars show was delayed from its initial 2024 release window.
Initially, Star Wars confirmed five different live-action and animated shows for next year. The live-action includes The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew. The animated shows include The Bad Batch Season 3 and Tales of the Jedi Season 2.
Considering the popularity of Andor, the delay will only leave fans anxious for more from the studios. The Hollywood strikes immensely impacted the production of Andor Season 2. Gilroy already teased that the second season will “be very different” than the previous season, with the next set of episodes encompassing four full years of action between the conclusion of the first season and the events of Rogue One.
The show’s stars also told TheDirect that several stories from the first season will “start to cross paths” in the follow-up season. Let’s see what kind of Star Wars adventure they will put on screen.
Currently, Andor Season 2 doesn’t have an official release date for Disney+.
