As you may know, the Star Wars Celebration is a fan gathering to celebrate the Star Wars franchise. Last year’s celebration, especially, shook the world as it featured first exclusive trailers for The Mandalorian Season 3, Ahsoka, Star War: Tales of Jedi and all platform public trailers for Andor, Visions, and Bad Batch etc. This year too Star Wars has followed the same suite and revealed some exclusive and unexpected trailers at the celebration. While we all expected Ahsoka and The Acolyte trailer, we definitely didn’t expect to see Andor season 2 trailer already! While it was shown exclusively to the Celebration event audience, it obviously leaked on various platforms. That is exactly what this article is about!

You know a quality show when you see one and the new Star Wars spin-off, Andor is surely one of them. Right from the premiere, we knew this show was going to be bonkers and I am really happy to say that it has delivered in every aspect of film-making. It is definitely not overselling it when I say, Andor is indeed the best Star Wars Live Action production in years and if you have any doubts, you should check the show out yourself. As for the Season 2 footage/teaser revealed at the Star Wars celebration, all you need to do is click on the video below. The nearly 65 seconds teaser doesn’t reveal much but is enough to get the fans hyped. So check it out!
The footage begins as we see tracking shots of all our main characters walking from behind which includes Andor, Syril and Luthen. Then we see glimpses of almost all lead cast from season 1 including Dedra Meero, Bix, Mon Mothma, Syril’s mother, and Cinta. The footage also included glimpses of another battle on Ferrix and the presence of Rebel troopers. Cassian can also be seen sporting a new wardrobe and a slick haircut, similar to how Luthen Rael presents himself in his Season 1.
We see Genevieve O’Reilly’s Mon Mothma attempting to rally the rebellion and delivering lines like, “If we do not stand together, we will be crushed.” We could also sense some signs of return of romance between Bix and Cassian. Unfortunately, we could not spot Vel in the trailer even though she was a major part of season 1. We also see a lot of new faces as well as a lot of action and suspense towards the end of the teaser. We also see Andor holding what looks like a sniper and the teaser ends with someone from the empire yelling “Shut it down”. This is where the teaser ends and the Andor logo kicks in.
Honestly, this is one of the most exciting trailers I’ve seen in the recent times. Not only does it feature almost everyone we wanted to see, at the same time it doesn’t reveal too much about anything! Add to that some kickass action snippets and that killer new look for Cassian, and you have yourself a perfect teaser. Just enough to get you hyped. This also makes us believe that the show is basically ready and might debut exactly around the same time Season 1 debuted aka September 2023. Read Andor season 1 review here.
