Star Wars The Bad Batch Season 3 Release Date, Cast, and More

It is a really good time to be a Star Wars fan these days with bucket load of new content popping up every other month. In 2023 so far, we have already seen The Mandalorian Season 3, Visions Season 2, Young Jedi Adventures, and Ahsoka. Alongside these, we also saw The Bad Batch Season 2 as it premiered on January 4, 2023, and concluded on March 29. Season 2 also received as much critical and audience acclaim as Season 1 and left fans rooting for more. For those fans, we have all the information you need to know about Star War: The Bad Batch Season 3, which would also be its final season.

When Will The Bad Batch Season 3 Release?

Season 1 was one of the most acclaimed Star Wars project of all time and season 2 carried on the good work of its predecessor. So, its return for a third season was never in doubt and hence, The Bad Batch Season 3 was confirmed in April 2023 and is all set to be released in 2024. Good thing is that now the WGA aka the writer’s strikes have now been settled which means there will be no delays in the production process for Season 3. Some fans however, are concerned with the shutdown of Lucasfilm’s Singapore VFX and Animation studio.

But the series’ director of cinematography has made it clear that the team at Lucasfilm Animated Ltd. is not affected and continues to be “ferociously busy” with Season 3. “Just to be clear, we’re not affected by this closure. LAL is not in Singapore 🙂 we’ve always been at either the ranch or where we are now in SF (or working from home!). We are still ferociously busy working with Cgcg to bring you all s3 of ‘The Bad Batch’ and ‘Tales of the Jedi.” Although we still need to hear an official word but it does seem like this would not impact the release of The Bad Batch.

Star War: The Bad Batch Season 3 Cast and Plot

Season 2 finale saw the death of beloved Clone Force 99 member Tech and the team endured another tragedy as Doctor Royce Hemlock captured Omega. Omega has been taken to Nala Se at the cloning facility of Mount Tantiss where she would meet her sister, the Imperial scientist Emerie Karr. So season 3 will surely begin with the major plot of rescuing her and will also explore more her backstory. We will also learn more about Crosshair, who previously defected from Clone Force 99 to join the Empire and now warned The Bad Batch about the Empire. His loyalties remain questionable but we hope to see him working alongside our protagonists.

Also, many fans still believe that Tech is alive since their was no body shown and we know how no one’s really dead in Star Wars till we see a body. As for the cast and characters, the below mentioned can be confirmed  to return for The Bad Batch Season 3:

  • Dee Bradley Baker – Clone Force 99 (Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, and Echo), Gregor, Commander Wolffe, and Captain Rex
  • Michelle Ang – Omega
  • Keisha Castle-Hughes – Emerie Karr
  • Gwendoline Yeo – Nala Se
  • Jimmi Simpson – Doctor Royce Hemlock
  • Ian McDiarmid – Emperor Palpatine
  • Ming-Na Wen – Fennec Shand
