The Boys is one of the absolute best things on TV right now and its season 3 was arguably the best Superhero production of 2022. In an increasingly mediocre superhero projects dominated world, The Boys has managed to give birth to a whole new sub-genre of TV. Its tense, gory, kinky, and weird approach is something to behold and it somehow manages to cringe viewers while blow their minds at the same time. So, while we wait for The Boys Season 4, a spinoff called The Boys: Gen V has served as a perfect appetizer and filled the The Boys void this year. As it happens, the show is all set to debut its finale this week and it seems like the cameo we were all waiting for is finally going to happen!
The Boys: Gen V Homelander To Crush the Students’ Rebellion?
The Boys: Gen V has managed to impress fans and critics alike, especially with its second half. In fact, the last few episodes have felt more like The Boys Season 3.5 than a spin-off and we mean that in a positive way. And while the show mainly focuses on new characters, it constantly includes main series references in almost every other dialogue as well some well placed cameos. So far, we have seen cameos from A-Train, Deep, Soldier Boy, Ashley Barrett, Adam Bourke, Grace Mallory, and Victoria Newman. And while it was fun to see some of these cameos, let’s be real, we’re all waiting for Butcher or Homelander to pop up.
Well, hear me and rejoice as Homelander is all set to make an appearance in the final episode of Gen V! That’s right, the information comes from a latest set leak which shows Anthony Starr donning the Homelander costume near his statue at Godolkin University. Have a look at it yourself!
If you’ve seen the trailer for finale, you know that there’s going to be some form a rebellion led by Cate and Sam. This rebellion seems inspired from X-Men as it basically about Supes Live Matter extremists vs Supes preaching co-existence much like Magneto vs Professor X philosophy. Anyways, it can be made out that Homelander will apparently arrive to the University to crush this rebellion. This might lead to a few character deaths as well as collateral damage. Of course, Vought will label a few of them as Supe terrorists to cover the rebellion up and glorify Homelander.
But this is just one of the possibilities as it could be a much shorter cameo as well. However, considering how Homelander is involved, the chances of the cameo being meaningless are less likely. One thing is for sure, Gen V finale is going to be incredible and will sure help in setting up some plot point for The Boys Season 4. Gen V episode 8, aka, the finale is all set to release on November 3, 2023 alongside PrimeVideo’s Invincible Season 2.
