Invincible season 1 opened to widespread critical acclaim as well as a highly positive reviews from the viewers. Owing to all that Amazon Prime announced its plans for at least two more seasons, but we still have no idea when we can expect to see its return. It has been 2 years since we last saw it and fans were getting quite impatient. So, Amazon Prime Video decided to update fans by releasing a ‘sort of teaser’ which actually is more of a HISHE’s SuperCafe skits than an actual teaser. Hence, it somehow added to the frustration than relieving the fans and that s exactly what we are going to talk about here.
Invincible Season 2 Teaser Trailer Is Not Actually An Update At All
In one of our previous articles about Invincible Season 2, we brought you some important updates, a timeline of production and spoilers based on comics. If you want to check all that out, click here. Anyways a few weeks ago, Amazon Studios took to Invincible’s official Twitter account to hype fans up about an official announcement which was planned for this month. Being as sassy as their rest of their Tweets are they said we can expect updates between Jan 2 and Jan 31, which basically meant the entire month. Now that the update is out, it seems like it wasn’t an update worth waiting for after all.
To understand what we are talking about, first check out the trailer below if you haven’t.

Are you disappointed? If yes, then you are not the only one as we share that feeling with you guys. The HISHE Batman and Superman SuperCafe inspired teaser updates about absolutely nothing! All it does is try to gaslight viewers into thinking how much of a work it is make such shows happen and although we get their point, this wasn’t actually required. Sure, some of you might have enjoyed watching Mark and Allen the Alien interact with each other non-canonically but it served absolutely no purpose.
The only thing is confirms is that the show will return in “late 2023” that too “more or less”. So, that basically means sometime in 2023 which all of us already knew. What bugs us is that even heavy VFX live action shows, and shows with much superior animation to Invincible are making their return much faster. Therefore, it makes no sense that a show made by a big studio like Amazon, with barely 8 animated episodes per season, is taking over 2.5 years to return. There is so much content these days yet fans have to wait so much for each of those content pieces to return. We thought Invincible might be different and that it might return yearly but it seems like that clearly isn’t the case. So, yeah, let us hope that it at least doesn’t get delayed and that when it returns, it is worth it.
