After a largely disappointing premier, the audio-visual experience of the world presented by The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power acted as its saving grace. Experience wise it is too good to be on TV but vision/direction wise, the series seems to be struggling to find its ground. Hopefully that would be turned around in the upcoming episodes and end up making the viewers, fans, as well as the makers happy and satisfied. This article however talks about the leaks and spoilers for the series, therefore, a spoiler warning is now in effect so proceed at your own risk.
Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – Who is Halbrand?
Galadriel met an unlikely ally in the form of Halbrand while finding her way back to the Middle Earth after literally jumping ship. The latest leaks confirm that this mysterious stranger in indeed Sauron. This is revealed to Galadriel in the season finale and according to the leaker “he [Sauron] has a really badass line” that they don’t want to spoil. Sauron also offers Galadriel to join his side which she refuses. Earlier in the season Halbrand pointedly mentions the word “gift” in a conversation with Celebrimbor, likely a reference to the whole Annatar stuff, though the name Annatar is never mentioned.
Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – Who is The Stranger?
Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power premiere introduced us to a bunch of different characters as well as different narratives. Among this, we have one narrative about Harfoot Nori and the stranger, who is strongly implied, though not explicitly confirmed, to be Gandalf. He’s referred to as “istar” and “wizard” at points in the show. He also uses the quote “When in doubt, always follow your nose”. The leaker further speculates that “the way the season ends suggests they’re planning to introduce the blue wizards in the next season or two”. They also belief that “they’re going to have all the wizards arrive separately and then meet up in Rhun”.
Leaks About Adar, Celeborn, and Isildor
The leaker claimed the following about Adar, “He was one of the Elves who were captured and tortured by Morgoth to create the first orcs”. The following is what the leaker said about Celeborn, “There is a reference to Celeborn that will make you say “Wait, what?” But I’m pretty sure they’re planning to introduce him in a later season”. That aside, according to latest leaks, Adar is going to be the big bad of season 1 and Isildor is said to be the main character of the show along with his sister.
Now how much of this is actually true still remains to be seen but it seems like the leaker has been right about Episode 1 and 2 so far. Therefore, the chances of all this being true are higher than most might think. LOTR: ROP’s first two episodes are currently streaming on Amazon PrimeVideo. New episodes will debut on every Thursday or Friday on PrimeVideo depending on the region you live in, at 9 pm ET.
