The LOTR trilogy was so epic, that even most of today’s cinema can’t match its scale, production value, and character interpretations. That is one reason why it has never been recreated nor will be. So, this 5 season prequel The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which has a massive budget for $1 Billion, has a tough battle ahead but it will surely be a glorious one. A few weeks ago, Amazon PrimeVideo released a new trailer for its upcoming flagship series which got fans like me pretty hyped. This article however talks about the leaks and spoilers for the series, therefore, a spoiler warning is now in effect so proceed at your own risk.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Premiere Leaks
As you may know Amazon held a Mexico premiere for it upcoming series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and hence, a few details and spoilers regarding the plot of the series have been leaked. A Reddit user took these following leaks from the TORn Discord as some of their members went to the Mexico premiere. So, for the final time following bullets contain massive spoilers, so turn back while there’s still time!
- Morgoth will appear only in shadow, but will be referenced a few times.
- Feanor is discussed between Elrond and Celebrimbor, and Celebrimbor will express his desire to live up to that name.
- Finrod’s death is the same as in the books.
- Balrogs and Eagles appear in the opening prologue.
- Sauron appears in the prologue in full-armor.
- Wolves will be present during some Harfoot scenes.
Fans were really relieved by these leaks, as they addressed some of their concerns about whether or not the show would stay true to the source. Most of them were pretty excited about Sauron in his full armor and they should be considering how important a villain he is in not just the LOTR series, but all of pop culture.
