Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Cell Will Return According To New Leaks

When it comes to the world of anime, Dragon Ball is one of the most popular series since over 3 and a half decades. Toei Animation and Akira Toriyama have been consistently providing amazing content for our beloved anime and manga series. What was supposed to initially end with the Frieza Saga is still going strong. The Universe Survival saga of Dragon Ball Super breathed new life into the series and fan have been rooting for more ever since.

Cell May Return

The last we saw of the popular anime series was in 2018 in the form of Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Ever since then manga has progressed quite a lot but anime side has stayed largely silent. That was until now as Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is all set to debut in April and Dragon Ball Super Season 2 might be following it soon as well. Everyone is pretty excited about this upcoming DBS film as it seems to be a little different and will follow Gohan and Piccolo rather the usual, Goku and Vegeta.

There have been many speculations regarding the film and this new leak seems to be quite hype-worthy. Makers of the film stated earlier that a “big” character still needs to be revealed. The image above is from this month’s V-Jump and it features DBS:SH characters in the SDBHGame. The only enemy that can be seen in this picture is Cell. If you look closely below Goku’s feet, it possibly implies that the unrevealed character is might be Cell.

Good Move?

Dragon Ball franchise seems to have a pretty hard time letting its characters go. There is hardly any character which hasn’t returned in someway or the other in the following Dragon Ball seasons. While our heroes hardly ever die or stay dead, villains also follow the same trend. This trend in particular applies to Frieza who keeps on returning after every few seasons. It seems like now Cell, being one of the best Dragon Ball villains, will follow the trend.

Fans too have mixed reactions on this leak as one group is quite eager to see the iconic villain return and fight an Adult Gohan. Other group, on the other hand, seems frustrated by this trend of DB and wants to see fresh stuff instead of spoiling iconic characters by making them return from the dead.
