After an outstanding outing in 2019 like The Irishman, Martin Scorsese returned to the big screen with another banger last year – Killers of the Flower Moon. The film just like most Scorsese movies focuses on a dark subject, assassination of the Osage tribe. The premise of the Scorsese directorial is, “In the 1920s, members of the Osage Native American tribe of Osage County, Oklahoma, are murdered after oil is found on their land, and the FBI decides to investigate.” The film debuted in Cannes this year and received a 9 minute standing ovation. It is clear that Scorsese is eager to make the last stage of his career his best. his hunger for cinema truly makes him the greatest director alive. The man is in his 80s but he is still fit to direct a three and half hour feature film. The film was available for online purchase for some time now, and we have finally gotten its streaming release date.
When Can You Steam Killers of the Flower Moon on Apple TV+?
When To Stream has revealed that Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon will be officially available for streaming on Apple TV+ from January 12th, 2024. The film was made available on digital and VOD platforms since December 5th, 2023. This means that the film was available digitally 46 days after its theatrical debut (October 20th, 2023). The Leonardo DiCaprio starrer only earned $152.1 million worldwide over a budget of $200 million.
As the film is in collaboration with Apple TV+, its box office numbers don’t matter much but it is important to note that the movie didn’t find much takers in theatres. Finally, Killers of the Flower Moon will be available this month on the platform that it was meant to release on. Helmed by Martin Scorsese, Killers of the Flower Moon stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Brendan Fraser, Jesse Plemons, John Lithgow, Louis Cancelmi and Lily Gladstone.
