Chucky Season 2: New Cast Additions and More

The first show is the Child’s play franchise, Chucky season 1 debuted on Syfy and USA network in 2021. The events of the show were  after 2017’s Cult of Chucky, and it follows the killer doll as he commits another series of murders in Hackensack, New Jersey. The show was one of the highest rated TV shows of 2021 with a startling critical reception, it was only inevitable that its home networks would pick it up for a second season and that is what happened. While all the actors from the first season would be making a return, or at least the ones that survived, there have been some new additions to the cast for season 2.

Hannibal star Lara Jean Chorostecki Joins Chucky Season 2

Seems Lara has not had enough of murder as after witnessing Hannibal the Cannibal she now joins Chucky S2. The other cast of Chucky includes veterans like- Brad Dourif returned to voice Chucky/Charles Lee Ray, while Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent, and Christine Elise are reprising their roles as Tiffany, Alex, and Kyle. Despite these returning players, Chucky focuses on a new cast of teenagers that includes Zackary Arthur, Teo Briones, Björgvin Arnarson, and Alyvia Alyn Lind.

Reports suggests some major shake-ups in the main cast heading into season 2 of Chucky, with Fiona Dourif returning and Devon Sawa playing a new character. However, more information about season 2’s cast was revealed as Syfy recently tweeted the newcomers to the show, including Meg Tilly (Psycho II), Gina Gershon (Borderlands), Joe Pantoliano (Bad Boys for Life), Tony Nappo (Saw II), and Sutton Stracke (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills).

Lara’s characters like many new additions is mysterious for now. But what we know is that at the end of season 1 Chucky’s killing rampage rendered Hackensack devoid of adults with the deaths of Lexy’s dad Nathan, Devon’s mom Kim, and Jake’s dad Lucas during the show’s first season while also completely destroying the Wheeler family. The new cast additions bring new adults to town, giving and his doll army new targets.

As for now we don’t have a lot of information on season though it is believed that Chucky and his doll army will have a bigger role in season 2 and many new additions to the cast might become unfortunate victims to him. The production of the show is supposed wrap up in August, we can only hope for more updates then with more images and teasers being released.
