Star Wars hero Ahsoka Tano returns with the new Disney+ series Ahsoka, starring Rosario Dawson as the titular character. This is a live-action series from Lucasfilm’s creative duo, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. This series picks up after the events of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. In the previous events, we witnessed the former Jedi looking for Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) and helping Luke Skywalker train Grogu. In this new series, Ahsoka will be accompanied by longtime allies. Sabine and Hera will join her, as they try to find Thrawn, who was last seen disappearing into space after a confrontation with Ezra. Natasha Liu Bordizzo plays Sabine, Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays Hera, and Eman Esfandi plays Ezra. Disney+ has shared a series of new posters featuring a few characters from the new Ashoka series.
New Posters of Star Wars: Ahsoka
The new posters feature Grand Admiral Thrawn, Ezra, Grand Mothers, and Captain Enoch. Captain Enoch’s name has biblical origins and he serves as a high ranking offer in Thrawn’s army. Fans were quite impressed by his look, voice, and on-screen presence in Episode 6. The Great Mothers served as the primary antagonists in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 5; they share names with the three Fates of Greek mythology. Ahsoka fans are already familiar with Thrawn and Ezra Bridger from Rebels. And here’s how Wookieepedia defines the Mothers:
The Great Mothers were three Dathomirian witches who allied themselves with Nightsister Morgan Elsbeth and Imperial Grand Admiral Mitth’raw’nuruodo. Their names were Klothow, Aktropaw, and Lakesis, and they were practitioners of dark magick, claiming to be able to read the threads of fate and destiny. Operating from a fortress on the planet Peridea, Dark Jedi Baylan Skoll believed that the Mothers’ existence proved that the planet was once part of the Witch Kingdom of the Dathomiri. Skoll and his apprentice, Shin Hati, also suspected that the three wanted to leave Peridea to flee a power greater than their own.
Ahsoka debuts new episodes in Disney+ on Wednesdays.
