Similarly, a new addition to the Superhero world and Marvel Cinematic Universe is afoot. The Marvel comic character Ironheart, aka Riri Williams who was introduced in 2016 by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Mike Deodato, with Eve Ewing and Kevin Libranda later redesigning the character. The character is all set to make his MCU debut in the upcoming Phase 4 film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Prior to making the debut, the character will be introduced to the audience via a Disney+ series; the series recently started filming as well as added a few members to its already impressive cast.
Dominique Thorne Set to Play Ironheart
Judas and the Black Messiah star Dominique Thorne will be portraying Riri Williams, who is the inventor of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. She is also set to star in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever playing the same character.
Manny Montana Joins The Cast
The Good Girls star Manny Montana joins the cast as a series regular opposite Thorne, possibly an Antagonist. Along with him, In the Heights star Anthony Ramos and This Is Us alum Lyric Ross. The series will be helmed by multiple directors including Sam Bailey (Dear White People) and Angela Barnes (Gillian in Georgia), they’ll collaborate with head writer Chinaka Hodge (Snowpiercer).
