Ms. Marvel, the MCU’s latest superhero series is a hit with the critics but not with the audience. The two episodes of the show were already out and available on the streaming service Disney Plus. But the show is lowest on the viewership front of the Marvel shows ever released on the streamer.
Ms. Marvel Has Low but More Diverse Viewership
According to the data by Samba TV, only 775k households in US had watched the premiere of Ms. Marvel. on its first five days. The analytical data by Samba also confirms that the show struck a chord with Gen Z audience with most viewers who tuned for the show were in the age group between 20-24. In addition, the episode is also highest among any MCU show in attracting a more diverse audience with Black, Hispanic and Asian households watching at a higher rate. One of the primary reasons assumed for the low viewership is the comic book character of Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel being not as popular as others among the fans and the show trying to appeal mainly for teen audience than all four quartets of demographic like the films in MCU.
