We all knew there was going to be some of the Mandalorian in The Book of Boba Fett, but not so much! The episode 5 almost seemed like the pilot of The Mandalorian season 3. No wonder fans are calling this episode The Book of The Mandalorian. Anyways the following sections contain major spoilers for episode 5 so, read at your own risk.
The Book of Boba Fett – The Return of The Mandalorian
With Boba Fett’s help Mando was able to achieve his objective of delivering Grogu (Baby Yoda) to the Jedi Order. So, it’s time for Mando now to return the favor and help out his friend in need. Episode 5 of the new Star Wars web series is entirely focused on the return of the Mandalorian, just like it’s title. The episode begins with Din Djarin and ends with him with no appearance of Boba Fett.
We see our favorite space gun slinger (or darksaber swinger) return to action in this episode. We saw him making a comeback, fighting with the darksaber, being banished from Mandalorian community, building a new spaceship, and meeting Fennec Shand, all in one episode. While we expected the rest of the things, we didn’t expect him to be banished from his Mandalorian community by The Armorer.
The Book of Boba Fett Episode 5 set up the Mandalorian season 3 pretty well, and gives us a lot to talk about. But first get hyped cause Grogu (Baby Yoda) might appear in the next episode of The Book of Boba Fett.
Will Grogu and Din Djarin Reunite in Episode 6?
The chances are pretty high to yes. Star Wars and Faverau know that The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda are the biggest selling points of the modern Star Wars era. So, there is no reason why he will not appear in Episode 6. During the episode we saw Mando talk about Grogu to the Armorer. He even asked her to forge a gift for Grogu from the Beskar Spear he had attained in season 2.
Since we are on the topic, what do you think this gift is? My bid is on a small beskar ball just like Mando’s ship’s gear head Grogu liked so much. Anyways, he is sure to visit his son like friend who is actually 50 years or so. At the end of the episode, he met Fennec Shand who asked him to join Boba Fett’s cause. She paid him a bounty for the same, which he returns and says, “Tell him it’s on the house, but first I gotta pay a visit to a little friend”.
So, yes, he will surely visit Grogu in the next episode. There is only one catch here that he might do so off screen. But again, why wouldn’t they include their biggest selling point when they have such an amazing chance? Hence, we are pretty sure Grogu and The Mandalorian (who is technically not a Mandalorian anymore) will reunite.
The Mandalorian will return in The Book of Boba Fett episode 6 next Wednesday. So, stay tuned!
