Bryce Dallas Howard, the director-turned-actress who’s last seen in the biographical musical drama Rocketman (2019), returns to directing chair with The Mandalorian season 3 once again. Some of you might remember her as the daughter of filmmaker Ron Howard or Claire from Jurassic World franchise.
Bryce Dallas Howard previously directed the episodes “Chapter 4: Sanctuary” in the first season of the show and Chapter 11: “The Heiress” in the second season. Chapter 11 featured the live-action appearance of Bo-Katan, a member of the terrorist faction Death Watch, who wishes to restore the planet of Mandalore to its former glory. She wanted to retrieve the Dark Saber from Moff Gideon after the Purge of Mandalore, which now rests with Din Djarin and will cause cnflict between the two in this season.
Bryce also directed one of the key episodes of last year’s Star Wars miniseries, The Book of Boba Fett, the episode that ties both Boba Fett and Mandalorian called “Return of the Mandalorian”. The two series were so closely connected at the end that fans and general audience who skipped Boba Fett might feel confused when Mandalorian season 3 comes out with certain drastic plot developments that were quite contrast to the ending of season 2. This is because Mando is an important character in the Boba Fett show and his story line serves as a connecting tissue for Mandalorian season 3.
