It feels like a lifetime since we last saw Rue Bennett crying in a hoodie, but the wait finally ends on April 12, 2026. HBO is finally dropping the Euphoria Season 3, and let’s be honest, we’ve all aged significantly more than the characters have. While we were out here surviving a literal half-decade of real life, Sam Levinson was busy cooking up a time jump to save us from the “actors who are thirty playing fifteen” trope.
Goodbye High School, Hello Quarter Life Crisis

The new season officially ditches the lockers for a five-year time jump. We are moving straight into adulthood, which apparently looks just as stressful as senior year but with more legal fees. Creator Sam Levinson described the new vibe as a “film noir,” so expect plenty of shadows, dramatic lighting, and characters making questionable life choices in high-quality 35mm film.
The plot reportedly finds Rue entangled in a dangerous drug network. She is literally being interrogated by the DEA about her time in Mexico. If you thought her debt to Laurie from season two was just a minor plot point, think again. It is back, and it is terrifying.
Who Is In and Who Is Out

The cast list is a literal fever dream of Hollywood royalty and internet icons. While we lost some legends, the new additions are absolute wild cards.
- The Returning Royalty: Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, and Alexa Demie are all back.
- The New Arrivals: Get ready for Natasha Lyonne, Sharon Stone, Eli Roth, and even Trisha Paytas. Yes, you read that correctly.
- The Departures: We are officially saying goodbye to Barbie Ferreira (Kat) and Storm Reid (Gia). Also, Austin Abrams (Ethan) and Algee Smith (McKay) will not be returning to the main cast.
The New “Adult” Normal

The trailers give us a glimpse of where everyone landed after graduation. Cassie and Nate are apparently married and living a suburban nightmare, while Cassie is reportedly exploring adult content creation. Maddy is working at a Hollywood talent agency, and Lexi is an assistant to a big-shot showrunner played by Sharon Stone. Jules is thriving in art school, though she might be getting involved in some sugar business dynamics to keep things spicy.
Runtimes & Release Info

Expect every episode to feel like a mini feature film. The runtimes for Season 3 range between 48 and 65 minutes. HBO is sticking to that prestige drama energy, meaning we are getting plenty of long, cinematic shots of the cast looking beautiful while their lives fall apart.
The season officially kicks off on April 12, 2026. Episodes will drop weekly on Sundays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO. If you are a streamer, you can catch them at the exact same time on Max. And, on April 15, 2026, on JioHotsar in India.
Whether you are here for the cinematography, the makeup inspiration, or just to see if Rue finally finds peace, this season is shaping up to be the television event of the year. Get your tissues ready and your group chats silenced, because the glitter is officially back.
