Euphoria Season 3

HBO has gotten into a habit of delivering phenomenal shows that become worldwide sensations. They were the network behind Succession, House of the Dragon, The Wire, The Last of Us and TV’s most popular show ever Game of Thrones. It is almost a mark of quality if HBO is coming up with a new show. Euphoria is one such show that has now gotten worldwide recognition and has turned entered into the Hall of Fame for HBO. There are only two seasons out of the fan favorite show and fans can’t wait for season three. Unfortunately that is a long time from now. We’re hearing good things about the third season. One of the main reasons for the show’s success is Zendaya’s excellent performance as Rue that won her two Emmys for both seasons (first Black woman to do so).

The actress has attained new levels of success at only 26 years old. She is part of many franchises and indie films as well striking a brilliant balance between fame and art. She is already one of the highest paid actresses and it looks like HBO has to cut her big cheque from now on.

Euphoria Season 3: Zendaya Enters Into The $1 Million Club!

In the latest What I’m Hearing… newsletter from Matthew Belloni for Puck revealed that Zendaya and HBO has struck a new accord between them which has reportedly benefitted the actress greatly in the monetary sense. A contract has been made for her work on Euphoria, “I’m told Zendaya just closed a big re-negotiation on HBO’s ‘Euphoria’ that likely puts her close to that club.” The big re-negotiation that Belloni refers to is HBO has agreeing to a new agreement with Zendaya which could possibly mean the star will earn somewhere close to $1 million per episode for Euphoria season 3.

The club that is referred by Belloni includes, Kevin Costner, John Krasinski, Michael Keaton, Harrison Ford, and Helen Mirren who are actors who have reached or surpassed the threshold of $1M per episode of the TV show they star in. For reference, Costner is making around $1.2M per episode of Paramount’s Yellowstone while Krasinski is reportedly netting $2M per episode of Amazon Prime’s Jack Ryan. This agreement is even more impressive as actors’ fees has reduced significantly nowadays in the TV space people say“‘$850,000 is the new $1 million.”

So Zendaya breaching the $1 million mark is a fantastic and rare achievement. As far as season 3 of the show is concerned, actor Colman Domingo who plays Ali on the show recently spoke with the show’s director Sam Levinson and based on their conversation the actor said, “Sam Levinson and I had some really deep conversations as of last weekend actually. Where he’s talking about the arcs of all the characters and what he wants to do to expand that, to actually re-examine at times. It’s an organism and he wants it to keep shifting it in many ways and I think he’s going to take some really big swings actually with Season 3.”

All episodes of the first two seasons of Euphoria are available for streaming on HBO Max or Disney+ Hotstar depending on the region you live in.
