5 New Cast Members in House of the Dragon Season 2

House of the Dragon Season 2 has cast fine new characters expanding the series for its new episodes. Consisting of eight episodes, the next season of the Game of Thrones prequel will follow the beginning of the Dance of the Dragons. As Aegon and Rhaenyra assert their claims as King and Queen respectively, the intense struggle for the Iron Throne unfolds. We are unaware to what extent the upcoming season will adapt from Fire & Blood. However, the source material does offer significant insights and events that could transpire in the next batch of episodes. Despite the lack of a proper synopsis and trailer, the excitement about House of the Dragon Season 2 is only escalating every day.

New Characters of House of the Dragon Season 2

Entertainment Weekly has confirmed the addition of five new cast members in the second season of House of the Dragon. These new cast members round out the already massive number of new faces in Season 2. The recent additions to the cast are as follows:

  • Tom Bennett as Ulf
  • Kieran Bew as Hugh
  • Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome
  • Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull
  • Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne

The mentioned characters seem as if they will be riding dragons during the war. Ulf and Hugh in specific likely Ulf White and Hugh the Hammer from George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood. Addam of Hull is brother to Alynn, though it’s unknown if he will be riding a dragon. Ser Alfred Broome is a senior knight of the Blacks at Dragonstone. And, Ser Rickard Thorne is a knight siding with the Greens at King’s Landing.

House of the Dragon Season 2 will premiere on HBO in summer 2024. It will also be available to stream on Max.
