House of the Dragon takes viewers back to the Game of Thrones universe after the obscene series finale of GOT. Season One Finale of House of the Dragon has elevated the show’s quality to a different ballpark altogether. The show started out great with a very strong pilot and each episode since simply took the show’s quality to new levels. The show wasn’t even affected by the recasting of the main characters. Fans simply adored the carefully crafted narrative that was so investing. The pilot of the show became HBO Max’s biggest debut with 10 million viewers. The most recent ratings reports suggests that the prequel has garnered an audience of 29 million on an average which is the best for any show after Game of Thrones’ Season 8 which had 44 Million viewers on an average.
Season two of the show has been filming since March 6th this year in Spain and United Kingdom. Just yesterday, we got our first look at the sets of season two through leaked photos. Today we have gotten even a more intimate look at sets.
House of the Dragon Season Two: New Video Shows Epic Battle Sequences!
The leaked set video of House of the Dragon Season two shows us the sigils of House Darklyn, House Rosby, House Stokeworth and House Staunton. In George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood this happens when Houses Rosby and Stokeworth are threatened by Aegon II and Ser Criston after the houses dismiss Otto to turn their cloaks. They pledged loyalty to Aegon. This video is from yesterday’s shoot which took place in Trujillo. We can also see that there is a blue screen object, it looks like a weapon or maybe a dragon that is coming with the armies.
Also, the Flea Bottom shown in the video looks much cleaner than the one shown to us in Game of Thrones. This might be a conscious choice to show how much the Dance of Dragons ruined the Seven Kingdoms. The sigils shown in the video are extremely accurate to the source material and many fans on Reddit are praising Ryan Condal for being true to the cannon.
