House of the Dragon is the story of the war that decimated millions of people and made dragons extinct. A war for the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. A war between step siblings, one of Valyrian descent and the other of Hightower Supremacy. Adapted from A Dance with Dragons, Season 1 of the show was an overwhelming success for HBO as the series had gathered an average audience of 29 Million. House of the Dragon also won the Golden Globes Awards for Best Drama Series and has been nominated for tons of categories for Emmy 2023. A second season wasn’t even a question and since it was actively under development pre SAG-AFTRA strikes, it seems like a trailer is now imminent!

This article is limited to the leaked information which hasn’t been officially made available yet. For all the official information regarding Season 2 follow this link. The following leaks are mostly reliable since the existence of the trailer has been confirmed by various sources before as well. Ultimately the choice to believe them, rests upon you. So without further ado let’s begin!
The trailer opens as Rhaenyra is obviously devastated because of Lucerys’ death. For those of you, who do not remember, Lucerys and his dragon Arrax were brutally devoured by Vhagar who refused to listed to Aemond. Anyways, Daemon vows that “Lucerys will be avenged” foreshadowing his upcoming conflict with Aemond. The trailer then cuts to Aegon sitting on the Iron Throne, as the throne room is seen empty, save for Alicent.
We then see Helaena spending some time with her kids. The trailer then cuts to Rhaenys mounting Meleys and she looks shocked / surprised by something. Next we see the scene whose leak has launched quite a few memes online. We see Aemond storming off on Vhagar after hearing an earful from Alicent for killing his nephew. At the end of the trailer, there is a scene with the Dragonseeds, Rhaenyra and Daemon.
Moving on to the House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 1 opening sequences leak, it seems like fans are in for a treat. The episode has been directed by Alan Taylor and the opening will feature the iconic GOT region of the North – Winterfell aka the home of Starks. The show is setting up the Winterfell plot even before Jace gets there on his trip. This is a really exciting news for House Stark fans as the entire series won’t offer a lot of about other houses and will mostly be centred around the Blacks and the Greens.
