Warrior Premise & Season 3 Details

Warrior is a Karate-focused drama set in the late 1870s San Francisco in the midst of the Tong wars, which is a time of extreme rivalry between rivaling Chinese Tong groups living in Chinatowns spread across different American cities. The story follows Ah Sahm (Andrew Koji), who comes to America from China in search of his missing sister.  Soon his martial arts skills were put to test when he falls into the eyes of most deadly tongs in Chinatown.

The first two seasons of Warrior aired on Cinemax, before the cable service ceased production of its original programming. After a brief hiatus and uncertainty, to the love of fans the show is picked up by HBOMAX in April 2021.  The plot of season 3 is currently under wraps, though season 2 actually serves as an ending to the show with some loose ends.

Executive Producer Shannon Lee on twitter said the show is going to start production this summer, on July 18, which is two days prior to the death anniversary of her father Bruce Lee. This is the first major update from Warrior team after one-and-half-year of waiting by the fans.
