Alice in Borderland Season 3

Netflix has officially renewed its hit Japanese science fiction thriller drama Alice in Borderland for Season 3.  Netflix dropped a teaser for Season 3, leading to speculations that more episodes of the live-action show were officially under production. Following its Season 2 debut in December 2022, the show became Netflix Japan’s most-watched title ever. Alice in Borderland made it to the Top 10 in over 90 countries, becoming No. 1 in 17 of them. The show clocked 200 million viewing hours globally. Alice in Bonderland is based on a manga series by Haro Aso of the same name. The show follows the story of Arisu after he is transported to a parallel universe. In this parallel universe, Arisu has to play and win games to stay alive.

Cast and More of Alice in Borderland Season 3

The ending of Alice in Borderland Season 2 raised more questions than answers. Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and co saw the gamemaster draw The Joker. Certainly, there is more to unfold as the weary gamers had their worlds perplexed after believing they had returned to the “real world”. The prayer of viewers has been answered because Netflix confirmed on X, “You may draw another card. Alice in Borderland will return for Season 3!” The post was accompanied by a cryptic video of the Joker card with the message “The games will now begin.”

The second season introduced additional cast members, including Tomohisa Yamashita as “King of Clubs” Kyuma, Yuri Tsunematsu as Heiya, Hayato Isomura as Banda, Kai Inowaki as Matsushita, Katsuya Maiguma as Yaba and Honami Sato as Kotoko.

Director Shinsuke Sato will continue to maintain the show’s thrilling intensity. Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya will return with their roles as Arisu and Usagi for the third season. Fans can look forward to seeing the evolution of their characters in the lethal landscape of Borderland.
