There is no doubt Breaking Bad is one of the best pieces of cinema ever created. It is still the highest rated show on IMDB and it is something which gets better and better with each passing episodes. Ahh, I wish I could watch it for the first time again but honestly that’s not required. Its prequel Better Call Saul is as good as Breaking Bad itself and is about to debut its sixth and final season. Just like BB, it starts of slow but builds up amazingly leading to whatever’s in store for us in this final season.
Better Call Saul took everything which worked in Breaking Bad (which was basically everything) and created a familiar yet fresh story. As of season 5, it has introduced almost every major character who appeared in Breaking Bad. In the previous season, we saw the introduction of Hank and Steve and this made fans almost sure that we’ll see our OG’s as well in the final season. Well mates, we have some really good news for you guys. It seems like the chances of Bryan Cranston’s Heisenberg and Aaron Paul’s Jesse to appear in the final season are even more probable than you thought.
Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul Teased To Return in Season 6
Vince Gilligan, the creator of this epic universe, shared his thoughts about the potential appearances of Cranston and Paul with Variety. From what he said, it looks like it’s almost given that they will make an appearance. Here’s what he said.
It would be a damn shame if the show ended without [Cranston and Paul] appearing, would it not? You heard it here first.
I mean he can’t be more clear than this. So he basically hyped us even more by teasing their returns. On a separate but similar note, Bob Odenkirk (Saul Goodman) stated that after watching Better Call Saul finale, viewers will be incited to re-watch Breaking Bad. It makes sense as the entire series so far has been building up to the events of Breaking Bad and the final season will surely be even more intertwined. Have a look at Odenkirk’s full comment in an interview with EW.
In the final season of Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul have never been more entwined. It’s just amazing how many overlaps they’ve discovered and mined for this season of our show. It’s stunning! And it’s going to be cool. For people who watch this, it’s going to be like, ‘I gotta go watch Breaking Bad again,’ as soon as they’re done, they’re gonna have to press play on Breaking Bad, because there’s just so much interaction now. More than any other season. By alot.
Also, Better Call Saul will close the character arc for Jimmy McGill aka Saul Goodman as it has consistently been showing the future scenes of Saul post BB. If all this doesn’t hype you I don’t know what else will! Better Call Saul season 6 Part 1 (7 episodes) will debut on 18th April 2022, and Better Call Saul Season 6 Part 2 (6 episodes) will debut on 11th July, 2022.
It will show back when Pinkman was Mr. Whites student. Or how Jessie got into being captain crunch or whatever. Wouldn’t that be a treat.
