Stranger Things remains to be the undisputed king of content on Netflix as the series despite new releases has been able to hold on to its crown. The craze of the show is unparalleled. With each new installment of the show, fans fall ever more fall in love with it. Stranger Things is also responsible for giving many young actors their first big break that has now led them to a successful acting career. The most recent installment of the show was its biggest so far, both in length and scale. If I’m being honest then after first season, season four was the biggest leap in storytelling that the show took. Revealing so much more and telling a narrative which has bigger implications than the seasonal conflicts. We finally know the root cause of everything wrong with Hawkins- Vecna / Henry Creel / One.
We know his connection to the Upside Down and how only Eleven can save Hawkins from his wrath. Despite hour heroes best efforts season four did end on an underwhelming note where the Upside Down is starting to merge with the real world. This cliffhanger is killing fans and they want the show to come out as soon as possible. However, as we know that is not going to happen. We have to wait a good deal before the final season comes out. You don’t believe me? Well, its not just me even Finn Wolfhard has said the same thing.
Finn Wolfhard Reveals When Stranger Things Season 5 Will Come Out!
Finn Wolfhard who plays Mike Wheeler, a pivotal character and core member of the show recently made an appearance on GQ’s Actually Me series in which celebrities answers fans on social media as themselves. In this session, Wolfhard got candid and revealed a potential window for Stranger Things season 5 release. The Pinocchio actor said, “I can’t believe it’s already season 5, I will be 22 by the time it comes out, I think, and I started working on the show at 12. That is insane. I’ll be able to drink with Gaten [Matarazzo], Caleb [McLaughlin] and Noah [Schnapp] and the whole cast at the premiere of Stranger Things 5. [You] couldn’t have said the same thing at the season 1 premiere, which blows my mind.”
You might not understand what exactly did he reveal. He said he will be 22 when the finale releases. For reference, Finn is currently 20 and he will turn 21 on 23rd December 2023. Which means he will turn 22 next year on the same date. By his statement the show should return sometime then however, I really don’t think so Netflix will release the final season of their biggest show during that time. Based on the past release dates of Stranger Things seasons, Netflix is not keen on releasing the show so late in the year.
My guess would be we won’t have another Stranger Things season till 2025. I don’t know whether it will be an early 2025 release or would Netflix want to release it in the summer to replicate the success of the fourth season. Regardless, based on Finn’s comments it is confirmed that the we have a long wait for Stranger Things season 5.
All Four seasons of Stranger Things are available for streaming on Netflix. Season 5 is rumored to come out on Netflix sometime in late 2024 or early 2025.
