Stranger Things Season 5 will be the last season of the Netflix juggernaut series. Ever since its debut the series has been a hit for almost everyone and the fanbase for the show just keeps growing with each new instalment. No other English speaking show has been able to take away its crown. Stranger Things 4 might be just the longest TV season in history with clocking in around 13 hours of content for just a season. Its finale was around 2 and a half hours long, which is longer than most of the feature films that come out this year. We were also introduced to Vecna the main reason behind all the “strange” things that have been happening in Hawkins. Our band of heroes have to reunite once again and face this monster to end all the menace once and for all.
Stranger Things 4 ended on a cliffhanger that needs to be resolved in the ultimate season. Along with that many arcs of the characters remain unresolved. So, there is a lot of pressure on the last season and hopefully it lives up to the hype. That being said, there is an urgency to deliver the series finale as soon as possible but Hollywood has had some tough months and it has taken a toll on the production of the upcoming season. Stranger Things Season 5 New Release Window Revealed!
Stranger Things producer Shawn Levy revealed when asked about the state of Stranger Things season 5 production that the Duffer Brothers are hard at work now as the WGA strike is finally over. The entire team is eager to get on floor with the final season. The filmmaker later revealed season 5 shouldn’t be expected until the second half of 2025. If the show stays true to this release window then this would make a three-year gap between Season 4 (which released its final episodes on July 1, 2022) and Season 5, breaking the previous record for the longest amount of time between Stranger Things seasons belonging to Stranger Things Season 3 and 4 (35 months). One of the major factors that the show needs so much time to come out is the year long shooting schedule.
