Virgin River is a famous Netflix show which is based on the contemporary romance based on the beloved Harlequin book series that took author Robyn Carr to the top of the New York Times bestseller list. There are twenty books in the series. The show that debuted on the platform in 2019. The series is a massive hit as it has been renewed practically every year since its debut despite the pandemic in the middle. The fifth season part 1 of the show just debuted on Netflix and it left us hanging for the last two episodes. We still have to wait for a while before part 2 drops on Netflix. So, as a surprise, we have gotten the first images from the part two of Virgin River season 5 that will consist of two episodes.
Virgin River Season 5 New Images!
Entertainment Weekly unveiled new images from Virgin River Season 5 Part 2 before it officially releases in November, this year. Part 2 of the latest season is set during Christmas, and it will address the ramifications of Season 5 Part 1’s ending where Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) finds out that her father might be in the town of Virgin River. Along with the images, director Gail Harvey also spoke to EW where he confirmed Part 2 will continue the mystery behind the identity of Mel’s father.
Harvey said, “It does follow through. We know that there are the postcards, and then it goes from there. It’s definitely part of the two episodes, and it’s actually quite amazing. I’m very proud of the way that it all worked out.” He further added, “It’s an interesting relationship. She’s very strong. Preacher always has a complicated relationship status, and that continues on. There’s some very beautiful things and some storylines are tied up in a very emotional way. There’s Christmas trees, there’s ice skating, there’s lovely Christmas gifts, there’s dinners, and there’s family dysfunction dynamics that we can all relate to at Christmas. And a lot of moving things.” Harvey concluded with, “I thought it would be really great to do a Christmas episode because that’s really what ‘Virgin River’ is all about — tradition and family dynamics, good and bad.”
