Wednesday Season Two: New Location Teased!

Just last week got an update on Wednesday Season Two about Percy Hynes White’s (Xavier Thorpe) exit from the sequel season. This came as a shock because Percy Hynes White’s Xavier Thorpe and Hunter Doohan’s Tyler Galpin, served as the primary love interests of Wednesday Addams in Season 1. Many suspected this decision from Netflix is a result of an accusation against the actor for assaulting a woman in Toronto. There has been no proof to either prove or disprove these allegations, however, the actor has strongly denied them. Although, some fans also pointed out that White’s exit from the show might be related to Jenna Ortega’s recent comments about the sequel season. The Scream VI actress had mentioned how season two won’t feature any love interests for Wednesday.

So, White’s exit from the show might be due to the nonnecessity of a love interest which his character potentially was. However, how is there no need of a love interest? Since, Season one very strongly establishes romantic scenes with Wednesday. Well, many fans have pointed out that this is because the majority of Wednesday Season two will take place in The Addams’ Family Mansion. While this was just fan hypothesis then, but today we have solid proof that the famous family mansion will indeed feature in Wednesday’s upcoming season.

Wednesday Season 2: Addams’ Family Mansion To Feature?

Wednesday Costume Designer, Colleen Atwood was recently interviewed by Variety where she teased what to expect from Season two, “In season 2 she’ll have a lot of looks, so it will be really fun to see what Morticia does when she’s out of the dress and into around-the-house looks.Since, the costume designer has to be privy with the scripts, it is clear that her comments indicate Wednesday Season two will heavily feature the interior of The Addams’ Family Mansion. Season one only showed us a glimpse of the iconic setting.

Episode 1 titled, “Wednesday’s Child Is Full of Woe” features the mansion at 44.44 minutes mark of the episode. This during the sequence where Wednesday reminisces the death of her pet Scorpio Nero. Atwood was also asked about her experience working on such a limited color palette as Wednesday predominantly features black and white colors (the Addams family always wears black). She answered complementing the color palette of the world, “When you use black and white you’re limited, but if you’re going to be limited it’s a great world to be limited in. You can juxtaposition the two colors in different ways graphically that can make things look very different.”

Jenna Ortega leads the cast with amazing support from Christina Ricci, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Gwendoline Christie, Emma Myers, Isaac Ordonez, Hunter Doohan, Fred Armisen, Georgie Farmer and Percy Hynes White. All eight episodes of Wednesday are currently available for streaming on Netflix. Season Two doesn’t have a release date yet.
