XO, Kitty Season 2 will return on Netflix for the fans to find out what happens next to Kitty. Created by Jenny Jan, the show is a spin-off of the To All The Boys film series. The story follows Kitty Song Covey’s journey to find her true love in South Korea.
What Will Happen in XO, Kitty Season 2?
Season 1 ended with a whirlwind of reveals for Anna Cathcart’s Kitty Song Covey. Though Kitty successfully arrives in Seoul and calls it the place her second home, things take a turn when she gets expelled from the Korean Independent School of Seoul, after the superiors learn that Kitty has been living in the boys’ dorm. Her relationship with Dae went fell off the edge after confessing that she has feelings for Yuri. It was revealed that Yuri is back with her girlfriend Juliana. It all got complicated when she sat beside Min Ho during her flight back to LA. Min Ho confessed that he had feelings for Kitty. Talk about a roller coaster ride!
Speaking with Netflix in June 2023, Cathcart talked about Kitty in Season 2. “By the end, she’s like, ‘I literally have no idea about anything. I am figuring it out. There are so many new people now that are a possibility, to see her world expand is a huge, huge difference and will be a really fun thing to follow.”
Now the question is who will Kitty end up with in Season 2? In May 2023, Dae’s actor Minyeong Choi talked to TV Guide about his character’s viewpoint. “I kind of felt like Dae wanted to hold her, so he ran to the airport. But after he hears what she thinks about [the relationship], he just doesn’t try anymore. He thinks that’s the way to love her, which is sad. It is sad that the only way that he could love her is to let her go.”
Min Ho’s actor Sang Heon Lee spoke to TV Guide and said, “I would say he’s still in love with her.” Season 2 might begin in the US with Min Ho and Kitty in love. And, since Yuri asks her mother aka the principal of the school to reconsider her decision, Kitty might come back to school. Then there is a fair chance that Kitty will confess to Yuri which might further complicate her relationship with Min Ho.

Following the astonishing ending of Season 1, we can expect most of the cast members to return for Season 2. Anna Cathcart’s Kitty Song Covey will lead alongside other Korean actors, such as Minyeong Choi as her love interest Dae, Gia Kim as her best frienemy Yuri, Sang Heon Lee as Dae’s roommate Min Ho, Yunjin Kim as KISS school principal Jina Lim, and Michael K. Lee as Professor Lee.

When Will It Will Come Out?
In June 2023, Netflix renewed XO, Kitty for the second season. Though we are certain about the comeback there is no news regarding the release of the show on the small screen. In an interview with India Today in July 2023, Sang Heon Lee talked about the strike. “The Writers’ Strike in Hollywood is going on, and because of the strike happening at the moment, it’s not exactly easy for them to reach a conclusion on how to approach and write the script. It doesn’t happen like that, so until the strike is over, we have to wait until they all just figure out the conclusion. And then, after that, they’ll write a script.”
Now as the strike is over, we can accept the writers to get back to work again. And, if it follows the timeframe of Season 1, XO, Kitty Season 2 could likely be released in 2025 at the earliest. XO, Kitty Season 1 is streaming on Netflix.
