The “Criminal Minds” revival is finally advancing at Paramount+, about a year and a half after the venture was first announced. The long-running CBS procedural has received a 10-episode order from the streaming service. The project was first mentioned in development in early 2021; however, later that year, series actor Paget Brewster indicated on social media that the project appeared to be “dead”.
For the revival, Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodriguez, and Paget Brewster will all be back, with more cast members to be revealed later. In the new series, an UnSub who has created a network of serial killers during the pandemic poses the greatest threat yet to the FBI’s elite team of criminal profilers. The network is now active as the world starts to open again, and the squad must find them one murder at a time.
