Stranger Things Season 5 will be the last season of the Netflix juggernaut series. Ever since its debut the series has been a hit for almost everyone and the fanbase for the show just keeps growing with each new installment. No other English speaking show has been able to take away its crown. Stranger Things 4 might be just the longest TV season in history with clocking in around 13 hours of content for just a season. Its finale was around 2 and a half hours long, which is longer than most of the feature films that come out this year. We were also introduced to Vecna the main reason behind all the weird things that have been happening in Hawkins. Our band of heroes have to reunite once again and face this monster to end all the strange things once and for all.
Stranger Things 4 ended on a cliffhanger that needs to be resolved in the ultimate season. Along with that many arcs of the characters remain unresolved. So, there is a lot of pressure on the last season and hopefully it lives up to the hype. That being said, there is an urgency to deliver the series finale as soon as possible and David Harbour had confirmed long back that the filming is set to begin soon for season 5. Now, his co-star Noah Schnapp has given us an even closer estimate as to when will the final season start filming.
Noah Schnapp Reveals When Stranger Things Season 5 Starts Filming!
Collider reports that Noah Schnapp who plays Will Byers in the hit Netflix show has revealed the starting filming date of Stranger Things 5. Schnapp’s character remains to be an integral and important character of the show. The report reveals that Schnapp was asked by one of his fans in an Instagram live session where the fans out of concern asked whether the production of Stranger Things 5 affect his education as he won’t be able to spend much time in school. Schnapp assured the fan that the filming of Stranger Things won’t affect his time at school.
After this the actor went on to reveal the filming window of the final season. Schnapp revealed that the filming is set to start from early May 2023. This goes well with Harbour’s estimations back in 2022. The Duffer Brothers have revealed that season 5 will be more similar to season 1 and that means they will stick to the number of episodes and episode length of season one. I don’t think so the final season will split into parts by narrative but Netflix might do it just to get more juice out of its biggest show before it ends.
Considering everything, the show will not return with its final season anytime despite the rumors saying that the show could debut in late 2023. Stranger Things 5 will much likely come out in summer 2024 if not later, it is definitely coming out before that. We don’t know much about the plot of the film.
