DCEU is now DCU and that missing ‘E’ actually accounts for a lot. There has been a lot of things happening at DC and as James Gunn and Peter Safran are rebuilding the broken DCU, they have to be smart enough not to make a complete revamp and rather use the working pieces and brush off the weeds. We know that Henry Cavill’s Superman is not something that fits in their new universe and Gal Gadot or the character of Wonder Woman also won’t be in the first batch of movies to come out. As far as other actors like Jason Momoa, Zachary Levi and Ezra Miller are concerned, their fate is left undecided as of yet. There is hope that all these unchecked fates would be addressed when the new slate of DC movies comes out. Speaking about that, when will it come out?
We’ve been hearing a lot about that new slate. Everyone was saying January but it is also almost about to end so when will the slate come out? When will we finally get the new batch of DC movies? Thankfully we have an answer.
New Slate Of DC Movies Is Coming at the End of January!
According to influencer Matt Ramos, the new slate of DC movies which will officially be under the hood of the DCU led by James Gunn and Peter Safran will drop on Tuesday 31st January 2023. Supes also confirmed that the new slate will officially be unveiled on Tuesday even though there was a trick played by a parody account of James Gunn that said otherwise and made fans confused. The official statement said, “I know there was some parody account that said something but I’m telling y’all myself the announcements are officially dropping on Tuesday :)”
It is to be noted that Gunn and Safran’s slate will account for next eight to ten years of DC’s future, the upcoming slate will only include some of the projects. One of the those announcements will of course be a new Superman movie which will explore Superman’s earlier life. What will the other announcements be? No one know for sure but there are rumors circulating. Whatever it is, one thing is for sure, this new slate will definitely give us some insight on the future of DC Studios and many talents involved with them.
DCU’s next movie: Shazam! Fury of the Gods is slated to release in theatres on 17th March 2023.
