At D23 Expo Disney finally revealed and released a teaser for the much awaited and unfortunately controversial Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. The footage we got is barely a minute and it is literally a teaser. Nothing about the plot or story is spilled out. This teaser is simply to hook in the fans of the books, I’m guessing. As all the lines spoken in the trailer are directly from the first page of Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief book and not any line, the lines used are pretty iconic for anyone familiar with the books. The teaser is the only thing we have gotten until now. The fans of Percy Jackson are now getting impatient. However, their worry will be put to rest with today’s update. The series will come to the House of Mouse’s streaming platform very soon.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Will Release Sooner Than You Think!

Percy Jackson and The Olympians Series First Look Leaked!

Aryan Simhadri who plays the pivotal role of Grover in Percy Jackson and the Olympians series recently gave us an update on the release of the Disney+ series. By the way the casting of Simhadri had caused the bulk of the controversy around the show as the book fans were claiming this a result of Hollywood’s woke propaganda. Regardless, Simhadri recently shared a new image which gave us an update regarding when Disney want the series to come out.

The new image came from a Boston promotional event for Rick Riordan’s upcoming book, The Sun and the Star:

As you can see the series is supposed to come in 2024 and we also see that it will only have eight episodes which is the current Hollywood standard. Series star Walker Scobell also mentioned that the series could land in late 2023 or early 2024. So, either the series can drop as the big release of 2024 or Disney+ might just make Percy Jackson as its big summer release.

Percy Jackson and The Olympians is likely to debut on Disney+ in late 2023 or early 2024.
