Succession is one the most influential TV series of this decade. Debuting on HBO in 2018, the show was an instant hit with the audience given its semi-documentary and dark comedic approach. The brilliant performances from its talented cast really made it a worldwide phenomenon. The series became an Emmy stealer, winning every major award with new seasons. The new seasons somehow improved the series’ writing as it became stronger and stronger. The twists and turns in the series are simply outstanding. I’m amazed how they managed to keep these characters interesting despite their many fatal flaws. Now that the final season is upon us, we have received a report on the length of the finale and it is long… very long.

Succession Season 4 Is Feature Length!

According to a recent HBO listing by @romegerri the finale of Succession Season 4 has a record breaking runtime. The Emmy winning, dark comedic show will end its TV run with a feature length finale of 90 minutes exactly. The finale is titled “With Open Eyes”. This makes it the longest Succession episode ever, beating out the previous record holder- the Season 2 closer, “This Is Not For Tears.” which had a runtime of 74 minutes. Let’s hope that the finale is everything we want it to be and more.

The show is considered to be the very best TV has to offer. It has many memorable moments. The most recent being Season 4, Episode 3 which is being compared to Game of Thrones’ Red Wedding. Series composer Nicholas Britel also said that the finale is going to be a huge episode to Variety. This just hypes me more for the final episode.

All three seasons of Succession are available for streaming on HBO Max. The finale of the show will release on May 28th 2023.

The cast for season 4 of Succession includes Alan Ruck, Nicholas Braun, J. Smith-Cameron, Peter Friedman, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, Hiam Abbass, Justine Lupe, Scott Nicholson, Zoë Winters and Jeannie Berlin.
