We all knew there was going to be some of the Mandalorian in The Book of Boba Fett, but not so much! The final 3 episodes almost seemed like the first few of The Mandalorian season 3. No wonder fans started calling the show The Book of The Mandalorian. While it may not have been that great for Boba Fett fans, Star Wars fans as a whole and Mandalorian fans absolutely loved TBOBF. The Mandalorian Season 3 Leaked Footage
At Star Wars Celebration, Season 3 of The Mandalorian finally got an official release window of February 2023. It provided fans like me something to look forward to for the beginning of the next year. An official teaser also came along with the announcement as well as well Andor season 1 trailer starring Diego Luna. Although, the footage was only available to the people attending the event, it obviously leaked. If you haven’t seen it yet, see it below!

As you can see, Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan Kryze has returned in a semi-antagonistic role because Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin has the Darksaber she desired. But we expect her to do the right thing in the end. At the end of the trailer she is seen talking to Grogu commenting, “Did you think your father was the only Mandalorian?” She can also be seen sitting on a throne and will has a different hairstyle than Mandalorian season 2.
The footage consists of a short recap of what the Armorer said to Djarin in The Book of Boba Fett episode 5. So, the trailer basically confirmed that Mando will be venturing to the planet Mandalore with Grogu to be “forgiven for his transgressions”. He will likely visit the destroyed mines of Mandalore to find a way out. As you may remember he was banished by the Armorer when she got to know he removed his helmet and broke their sacred rule.
That aside, Carl Weathers’ Greef Karga also made an appearance and got thunderous cheers from the audience. Omid Abtahi’s Dr. Pershing, and the New Republic also seem to be involved in the upcoming season. There was no sign of Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, or The Marshal in the footage but we are pretty sure they all will show up in a cameo or two. Mando still has the Dark Saber and will probably learn how to master it in this season as well, though its possible he loses it to Bo-Katan.
