Steve Rogers can retire but not Captain America. The mantle dictates no rest and only duty for the country. An undying symbol of hope which doesn’t change regardless who takes up the mantle. Sam Wilson played by Anthony Mackie is now the new Captain America after the events of Avengers: Endgame and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. For now we only know that Anthony Mackie, Liv Taylor and Harrison Ford will appear in Captain America 4: Brave New World. The plot of the movie is kept under wraps by Marvel but based on the title one can deduce that it will be another political thriller much like Captain America: Winter Soldier. However, it looks like Marvel wasn’t able to replicate the quality of Winter Soldier as the studio is doing massive reshoots for the film after bad test screening results.
Captain America 4: Brave New World Making Major Changes!
A new report states that after terrible test screening scores, Marvel has decided to make massive changes in the plot of Captain America: New World Order. Of course the crux of the film won’t change but the studio is planning make the proceedings of the plot better as audiences disliked the way it was originally done. The test screenings were not Aquaman 2 level bad but they were certainly serious as otherwise such huge reshoots won’t be planned.
The report further states that three major sequences will be cut and the reshoots shall commence from January to May. What sequences is the report mentioning we have no clue. Now that the film has also been delayed, there is enough time for Marvel to reflect back and straighten out the film as much as they can manage.
Captain America: Brave New World will be directed by Julius Onah and is penned down by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. The film is slated to release in theatres near you on July 14th, 2025.
