Castlevania animator Naseer Pasha recently uploaded an 11-minute fan film on YouTube on July 7, 2022, expressing his love for Dragon Ball Z. It takes inspiration from the Toei Animation anime series based on the final 325 chapters of Akira Toriyama’s original Dragon Ball manga. “LEGEND – A DRAGON BALL TALE” is a non-profit fan film that Pasha directed, animated, and storyboarded. He collaborated with Studio Stray Dog on the animation, an independent creative group from Canada.
Pasha Took Four Years To Make The Dragon Ball Movie With Incredible Animation
The video was produced without a budget in a span of four years and, as of this writing, has received over 4.5 million views. The crew made every piece of content for the project from scratch, including the music, audio samples, and video. Pasha made the movie as a gift to Toriyama for the worlds he created for ’90s kids.
“Mr. Toriyama, please accept this as a small token of gratitude, and as a grand love letter to the worlds that you’ve created and shared with all us children of the ’90s. The inspiration will forever remain immeasurable.”
Legend – A Dragon Ball Tale depicts The World Martial Arts Tournament’s alternate events at a frantic speed. Beginning with Goku vs. Chi-Chi, things quickly spiral out of control when Vegeta and Broly enter the picture. The trio fights in a fierce conflict that features collisions, charge-ups, and ki-based strikes while assuming various Super Saiyan forms.
The film is dedicated to “every child who believed they could train in 100 times the Earth’s gravity, and to every artist who taped Dragon Ball Z and paused it to draw their favourite heroes.” Watch the Dragon Ball Z fan film by Naseer Pasha above and see the complete list of credits below:
