Marvel made it difficult to breathe at SDCC 2022 as it poured in a bucket lot of information on the fans including Phase 5 and Phase 6 plans. While most of the information is public, certain trailers and footages were only showcased to the Hall H audience and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was one of those trailers. The trailer consisted the first look of the film’s two villains – MODOK and Kang the Conqueror. So, following is the same look leaked from the trailer of Ant-Man 3.
Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror First Look Leaked
Quantumania will proceed the story of Kang the Conqueror who was introduced in Disney Plus’ Loki and set up the next big saga of MCU after the Infinity Saga which lasted 3 whole phases and 22 movies. At Hall H Avengers: The Kang Dynasty was also revealed directly hinting at the important role Kang will play in MCU’s Multiverse Saga. Jonathan Majors will be reprising the role of Kang for the rest of the MCU projects including Ant-Man 3.
The first look attached above shows Kang walking towards Ant-Man and revealing his face to him. In the trailer Kang interacts with Scott and says, “Everything you are holding onto, everything you call life, I know how it ends”. Scott tells him he made a mistake because he’s an Avenger, to which Kang replies in disbelief, “You’re an Avenger? Have I killed you before?” You can check out the leaked trailer right here. As of the trailer he was wearing an armor of sorts but did not have the comic accurate mast/helmet on. It is possible that this isn’t the final boss variant of Kang as well.
MODOK First Look in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Leaked
As revealed by leaks, MODOK is played by Corey Stoll who played Yellowjacket in Ant-Man (2015). Apparently, he survived the events of Ant Man and has now joined hands with Kang as he wants revenge against Scott and Pym. He will most probably have a bigger role in the film than Kang as Kang might be saved as the final boss. Also, if plot leaks are something to go by, he will surely make things quite difficult for our heroes. Unfortunately, his first look doesn’t showcase much of him and is restricted to a big close up revealing a reddish-purple color scheme. Also, while we are at it, who is this guy?
The guy seems like he’s wearing a blue glass helmet of some kind. Could this be Kang in Helmet? Or aversion of Mysterio? I have absolutely no idea. If you can guess, do let us know in the comments below.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is all set to release on February 17, 2023.
