The Boys Ryan (Homelander's Son) Actor Promoted to Series Regular!

The Boys Season 3 was released this year in June and just recently concluded its run of 8 episodes. This season has cemented The Boys to be Amazon Prime’s no. 1 show. The show keeps on getting better with each new addition. While other shows wait months after their release to get a green light from the Studio/Network for another season, The Boys was renewed for its 4th Season even before the entire season was out. Karl Urban who plays a pivotal character in the show, Billy Butcher had previously revealed that the filming for Season 4 would start very soon. This was days before Season 3’s finale. If the filming starts soon that implies the season is ready on paper. Season 4 can be here as soon as next year. Considering the dark note Season 3 ended on, I’m very excited for Season 4. Check out our review for The Boys Season 3.

The finale saw Ryan and Homelander walking away together. Ryan who is considered to be as powerful as Homelander as he is his biological son, him siding with Homelander who is a certified maniac maybe the worst thing that has happened in the show yet. Season 3’s end hinted at The Boys next mission being Victoria Newman but a recent update from Season 4’s development suggests there’s more to it.

The Boys Season 4 to Focus Primarily on Ryan?

Cameron Crovetti is the child actor who has played Ryan in the 2nd & 3rd Seasons of The Boys. Recently through a Twitter announcement we got an update on the upcoming The Boys Season. The announcement included that Cameron Crovetti has gotten an upgrade where he has become a series regular than simply being a recurring character. Apart from this the announcement said, Valorie Curry and Susan Heyward have joined the cast as Firecracker and Sister Sage, respectively.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise as Season 3’s end suggested that next season would focus on Butcher fighting with Homelander for Ryan’s soul. So along with the gang trying to take down Victoria Newman who is the Vice-President candidate, they’ll also have to convince Ryan to get away from Homelander. The showrunner Eric Kripke teased this possibility in a recent interview with TVLine “If Ryan turns into another little sociopathic Homelander, that’s apocalyptic. But on the other hand, if Butcher’s able to pull him away from that, then you might have the only person who can actually fight Homelander.”

Kripke further talked about Season 3′ s finale where Queen Maeve got a happy ending with her girlfriend Elena, although the comics that the show is based on saw Queen Maeve die. “At no point did I ever consider killing Maeve, from the very, very beginning [of the series]. We were intentionally building to a happy ending for her, always, for a lot of reasons. One, she deserved it. Believe it or not, The Boys is a moral universe, and when you make the right choices, you get rewarded, and she deserved a happy ending with Elena.”

The Boys Season 3 has a phenomenal cast that includes,  Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligot, Jessie Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Aya Cash, Claudia Doumit and Jensen Ackles.

All Three Seasons of The Boys is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
