Valheim is getting better and better with every update, is already one of the best survival games in the world. In its commitment to making the game more amazing, Iron Gate released a major update which is currently in public beta testing and will be released as soon as all the bugs are fixed. As you may know this new update adds Frost Caves to the Mountains region of your world. So, with that, come new enemies, new materials, a new mini boss, and new armor.
New Furnishings
With a new area and new materials comes a new armor set, so with the picks from Frost Caves and its new mobs, you can craft a new furnishings. These new furnishings are Jute Curtains, Jute Rug, and Standing Brazier. Obviously, these new furnishings will provide you added comfort. Jute Rug will provide your rooms +1 comfort no matter what. Jute Curtains will probably not provide you extra comfort if you already have some or the other banner in your room. Similarly, Standing Brazier will not provide you extra comfort if you already have Hearth, Hanging Brazier or Fireplace.
But we’ll recommend you to add Jute Curtains as they look so damn good! These are one of the finest looking build pieces in Valheim and add more beauty to your amazing builds. As for Jute Rug, you must surely add them as they provide your extra comfort as well as look gorgeous. Standing Brazier doesn’t make much of a difference but you can add it as well, probably at your Castle entrance? Well, your build, your choice, so build away!
How to Craft Jute Curtains, Jute Rug and Standing Brazier?
You’ll require workbench for Jute furnishings and Forge for Standing Brazier. Following are the materials you’ll require to craft these items:
- Red Jute Curtain: 4 Jute, and 1 Fine Wood
- Red Jute Carpet: 4 Jute
- Standing Brazier: 5 Bronze, 2 Coal, and 1 Fenris Hair
If you are an old player, you know where you’ll find Fine Wood (Oak and Birch Trees) and Coal (Charcoal Kiln/Overcooking Food/Surtling drops/Obliterator). As for Fenris Hair, you will find this new material inside the Frost Caves. While exploring them, you will find Wolf Altars from where you can obtain Fenris hair. You can also get Fenris Hair by breaking some decorations inside the caves with your pickaxe. At this point you must already know how to craft Bronze – as usual dig Copper and Tin deposits to get Copper and Tin ore and smelt 2 Copper and 1 Tin to craft 1x Bronze.
Good post. I learn something totally new and challenging on websites I stumbleupon on a daily basis. It’s always helpful to read through content from other writers and use something from their websites.
