You know what’s funny I just covered an Ironheart leak of Anthony Ramos as The Hood and now we’ve another leak. Good day for MCU fans. Disney+ has become Marvel’s home for introducing new characters and giving them their origin story. This year it treated us with Moon Knight and the upcoming Ms. Marvel TV series. Similarly, a new addition to the Superhero world and Marvel Cinematic Universe is afoot. The Marvel comic character Ironheart, aka Riri Williams. The titular role would be played by Judas and the Black Messiah’s actress Dominique Thorne. Rir Williams was introduced in 2016 by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Mike Deodato, with Eve Ewing and Kevin Libranda later redesigning the character.
The character will be making her MCU debut in the upcoming Black Panther sequel- Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Recently, at the San Diego Comic Con Marvel revealed the first trailer of the sequel and the trailer had our first look of Riri Williams in the MCU. The trailer makes it look like she has a pivotal role in the film. As we know the filming of the show started in June, today we have set photos that give us our first look at the MCU’s Ironheart, not Riri Williams but Ironheart. We have the first look of the Ironheart suit.
MCU’s Version of Ironheart Leaked!
This is the first time we’re seeing what Ironheart would look in the MCU. The Wakanda Forever Trailer did show us a few glimpses of her but not enough. I don’t think so the film is going to do us any favors to her despite her being pivotal to the film as we might see some events happening because of her but I don’t think we’ll be seeing her in action much. We might get a look at a prototype suit in the film but the official suit will be reserved for the show.
The suit does resemble a lot of Tony Stark’s technology. In the comics, Riri Williams made her suit by stealing some MIT technology. However, in the MCU Riri Williams has been kicked out of MIT as she asked the students there to pay for her suit for doing their homework. This is the extent till we know. I’m sure there will be a lot of nods and homages to Tony Stark. We might even get a storyline where Tony’s technology is directly connected to her. Like the MCU Spider-Man films.

Dominique Thorne plays the lead role or Riri Williams aka Ironheart. The Good Girls star Manny Montana joins the cast as a series regular possibly an antagonist. Along with him, In the Heights star Anthony Ramos and This Is Us alum Lyric Ross. The series will be helmed by multiple directors including Sam Bailey (Dear White People) and Angela Barnes (Gillian in Georgia), they’ll collaborate with head writer Chinaka Hodge (Snowpiercer). Hodge even acted as Executive Producer to Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther.
Ironheart will start streaming on Disney+ in Late 2023.
