Hunter x Hunter is one of the most popular manga series of all time. That aside it is also one of the most popular and critically acclaimed anime of all time. The original series debuted in 1999 but the latest one debuted in 2011 and ended in 2014 after 6 incredible seasons. As for the manga, the Hunter x Hunter has released over 36 volumes but the series went through multiple long breaks throughout its journey. Then, in 2018, Yoshihiro Togashi took the longest break to date, and ever since then the entire manga community has been waiting to hear about the fate of the series. Well, today we have some amazing news for all those fans as HxH is back and following is what its latest chapter 401 all about.
Hunter x Hunter Manga Chapter 401 – When Will It Return?
So we have a mixed bag of news for you guys. The good news is that the manga will continue on but the bad news is that it has went on a short hiatus again. According to the announcement, Togashi sensei will continue to write Hunter x Hunter and the editorial department will continue to support him until the end of the manga. The official announcement is as follows:
“Thanks for reading HUNTER x HUNTER. Regarding the publication of the manga, chapter 401 and following, we have talked with Togashi-sensei about his state of health, and as a result, we have decided to publish HUNTER x HUNTER in a format other than weekly serialization. Togashi-sensei will continue to write the following chapters, and the editorial department will continue to support him until the completion of the manga. Specific publication dates and methods will be announced in future issues of Weekly Shonen Jump. Thank you for his continued support of HUNTER x HUNTER.”
The catch however is that, the break manga will go on is an unspecified hiatus which may last up to a month and we expect the manga to return by February 2023. But the simple truth is that as of now no one knows when it will return. If you see any website or channel mentioning a date as of now, they are either speculation or simply lying. That said, there are a few reliable sources of information and as soon as they reveal the return date, we’ll bring it to you! Till then following are some important happenings of chapter 400.
- The plot line finally shifts back to the princes after a conversation between Fei, Nobu and Phinks.
- Pika is back after 12 chapters, just before another hiatus.
- After Kurapka senses the 4th rumbling. Zhang Lei, Fugetsu and Tyson are all back, and the war continues at it’s pace.
- Fugetsu claims to be able to use her ability multiple times in a row, which she does to spy on others. She says using the ability makes her “happy”.
- Melody observes that Fugetsu’s aura is getting very faint, almost like Zetsu (sounds like the untouchables’ curse)
- Melody expects someone to come to her to negotiate about Fugetsu’s fate. The 3rd prince and the 4th prince’s guard didn’t react to the word “negotiation”, so it’s probably not them.
- Kurapika’s teacher says that reading Tyson’s book triggers her nen beast’s ability, and that if enough princes read it and/or the king, it can end the war. Tyson replies that she has given books to the lower princes and had her mother deliver a copy to the king. She believes no one has read it so far.
- Kurapika accepts being Tubeppa’s “partner”.
