One Punch Man: Saitama vs Garou, Finally A Worthy Opponent! -

The biggest fight in One Punch Man ‘s history is finally happening: after years of build-up, Saitama is getting an opponent he can’t defeat with a single punch! Saitama and Garou come face to face at the climax of the newest chapter of the hit manga series by One and Yusuke Murata.

While the main comedic appeal of the series is witnessing how effortlessly Saitama crushes many of the monstrous enemies during its run so far, there have been a few instances where the hero has encountered some semblance of his might. However, the conclusion of the Human Monster saga has presented him with the chance to finally have the fight he’s always wanted, one with a worthy challenger.

One Punch Man – How Has Saitama vs Garou Fight Progressed So Far?

The preceding chapter of Viz Media’s official English language release for One-Punch Man had entirely changed what came before. While the plot had initially hinted that Saitama and Garou would come to an understanding rather than fighting it out, the previous chapter suddenly threw their fight into high gear as Garou now possesses a godly level of strength. Garou has grown to be such a powerful entity, as seen in the most recent chapter of the series, that even Saitama finds it challenging to plan a suitable counterattack.

One-Punch Man’s Chapter 163 begins soon after Garou activates a “Cosmic Fear Mode” that gives him power from the supernatural entity that has been teased throughout the Monster Association Saga. This demonic force swiftly takes control of Garou’s body and launches a wave of attacks that even catch Saitama off guard. He’s been given nuclear energy power-ups to his punches and can perfectly mimic Saitama’s moves as Saitama then ends up on the back foot, observing that he even got a “scratch” in the process.

Naturally, neither Saitama will be eliminated nor will this battle likely present him with the challenge he had hoped for. Still, it’s the closest thing to a worthy opponent Saitama has encountered in the series thus far. Regardless of the outcome, with Saitama and Garou finally clashing, One-Punch Man fans are about to witness an incredible fight.
