Hey chief, after that gigantic TH15 update from October, Clash of Clans is now all set to bring to you the very final update of 2022 aka the winter or Christmas update. From August when COC turned 10, we have received back to back major updates every month and this month will be no different. The Christmas Update comes packed with new scenery, new obstacles, a snowy theme which covers your village and obstacles with snow, new skins, and some new deals. So, without further ado, lets dive right into the Christmas Update!
Clash of Clans Christmas Update – New Obstacle and New Decoration / Statue
While they are termed obstacle, farming these special obstacles showcases how long you’ve been a part of the game. Apart from that, it enhances the appearance of your village, so most players wait for new obstacles. Every year players get an X-Mas Tree and last year the design was gifts on top of gifts. Well, this year, the X-mas tree looks absolutely stunning with pink ferns, covered with blue sparkles and Santa’s hat at the top and certain gifts at the bottom.
That aside, we may also get a new Christmas decoration which once again will enhance the look of your village. This decoration will most likely be obtainable as a part of free season rewards. From the looks of it, it seems like a toppled over sledge with a few gifts which seemingly on the snow. It looks interesting but I wouldn’t bet on it being a decoration as it could just be a part of the scenery or the concept. Traditionally we do not get decorations on X-Mas.
Jolly Queen and Jolly Scenery
The only kind of skins that exist in Clash of Clans are the hero skins which include Barbarian King, Archer Queen, Grand Warden, and the Royal Champion. There are numerous skin sets available for these heroes but almost all of them wither cost money or Gems to be obtainable. Similarly, the Jolly King, and Jolly Warden skins will be made available in shop and will cost 1500 gems each and the Jolly Queen will be a part of the Gold Pass Season Reward. She will most probably pop up in the shop next month and will cost 1500 gems. But if you cannot wait to use Jolly Queen, then you can always buy the Gold Pass and make sure you get enough season points to unlock the skin. As for Jolly Champion skin, it will probably be released next year just like Warden was last year.
Lastly, a new scenery called the Jolly Scenery (featured at top) will be available to purchase but will cost you some bucks. The scenery looks pretty cheerful and pleasing with a lot of minor and major details for you to notice and then savor. Traditionally, new sceneries can be purchased either individually or as a part of various combo deals and we are sure that it will not be available for free. So, if you were hoping to bag a free scenery, we are sorry to disappoint.
All this aside, if you notice, snow must already be falling on your village and by Christmas it will come alive properly covering all your obstacles and decorations with snow and small gifts. Also, keep an eye on the dealer as you may get some good deals when the update will most likely hit in December third week.
