God-of-War-Ragnarok-and-Hogwarts-Legacy-At-Next-Week_s-State-of-Play

God of War: Ragnarok and Hogwarts Legacy are the two biggest titles yet to be released in 2022. The common thing they share is that even though half of the year has passed, we still have absolutely no updates about the official release date. Both were expected to be revealed at Sony State of Play which took place earlier this month on June 3, but both were a no show. There have been one too many leaks about the release of these games but none seem to be true. Most predictions hint towards a November release date for both these games but we might be nearing official announcements.

God of War and Hogwarts Legacy Release Date Announcement Next Week?

According to famous and reliable leaker, @_Tom_Henderson_, a new Sony State of Play event is coming up as soon as next week. As you might remember, a State of Play already took place earlier this month and this might be the second one this month. Although it looks like a very difficult possibility, Sony has surprised fans in the past. Also, the last State of Play was very underwhelming and focused entirely on VR titles and 3rd party titles. So, it possible that another such event takes place soon which covers the first party titles like God of War: Ragnarok.

Henderson pointed out that there were multiple evidences for such event taking place pretty soon. These include Gran Turismo producer’s hint at an upcoming update next week, leaks about GOW: Ragnarok release announcement later this month, as well as the new Playstation 5 Pro controller Sony is working on. Here check all this out for yourself in the tweet attached below.

So, it is quite possible that Sony State of Play June 2022 happens once again and this time they’ll surely have updates on God of War: Ragnarok and Hogwarts Legacy. However, if you consider history, then Horizon Forbidden West’s release announcement was made at  Gamescom Opening Night Live instead of State of Play. But at the same time, every major info we have received so far regarding Hogwarts Legacy, has been via State of Play. God of War: Ragnarok’s first trailer was also unveiled at Sony’s very own Playstation Showcase. So, hopes are high for the next Sony State of Play event but whether or not it takes place next week, still remains to be seen.
