God of War Ragnarok Full Plot Leaked, 55-60 Hours Gameplay Time

God of War: Ragnarok is all set to release of 9th November 2022 and the pre-orders for the game are now live. The first trailer was released during last year’s Playstation showcase and from that many things became quite clear. We know that Ragnarok is upon Midgard and that Kratos, Boy, and Head aim to stop it with the help of Tyr (Norse God of War). So, now that the game is pretty close to release we are getting all sorts of new information about it and today we have for you some new cover and gameplay images from the upcoming game.

God of War: Ragnarok All New Details and Gameplay

First things first, check out the following images courtesy of GameInformer!

Now let us talk about what these images mean. So, in short, these images hint at certain gameplay changes and additions which include a brand new shield, new moves and skills, and new mechanics for the Blades of Chaos. “In the last game, if you pressed Triangle, you recalled the axe,” Mihir Sheth (co-lead combat designer) says. “But if you already had the axe, nothing happened. If you had the Blades of Chaos and you pressed Triangle, you just went back to the axe. We looked at that concept and wondered, ‘What if you could do something a little bit different with that button – a whole new suite of moves.’”

That aside, Kratos will have access to some other shields, lore, weapons, and a whole new Dwarven Realm which you haven’t seen before! A ton of accessibility features and UX changes have also been added to God of War: Ragnarok along with certain quality of life improvements like new navigation mechanics. Sheth said, “Kratos plays with his food. We tried to create systems you want to engage with that are fun, very playful, lots of different routes. And when we looked at the combat in the last game, we were like, ‘We can push this further; we can find new toys and ways of playing with enemies and strategies.’ That’s been the guiding principle more than anything else.”

Obviously, food here doesn’t actually mean food but the enemies that you will face in the upcoming sequel. The devs’ motto for the sequel has been increasing the number of moves, combos, and variations gamers can experience as Kratos. But at the same time, co-lead designer warned fans to not take the challenges for granted, “Maybe don’t play with all your food, because there will be food that can eat you pretty easily.” All this aside, you can check out some new gameplay footage by clicking on the video attached below:

One last thing before we wrap this article up is that Santa Monica Studios teased fans with an upcoming project and for that they tweeted a Riddle By Mimir, which is as follows:

Perhaps vague, an incomplete notion. Though there may be, you do not detect motion.

Half a dozen characters unobserved. Simple perception that may have been served.

Differences are not always understood. We don’t perhaps compromise as we maybe should.

Disharmony stemming from major disputes. As a limb surviving off broken-up roots.

A connection, a loop, all in one place. The clues are here, pick up the pace!

Joining So Many Souls, unbroken, a chain. If you find it soon, a role you’ll obtain.
