A24 has established a strong reputation for releasing creative and atmospheric movies, and with its newest release, “Bodies, Bodies, Bodies“, it is making a comeback to the horror subgenre. The recently released trailer for the upcoming A24 slasher film features the new Charli XCX song “Hot Girl.”
The movie’s outstanding cast features Pete Davidson, Amandla Stenberg, Lee Pace, Conner O’Malley, Maria Bakalova, Rachel Sennott, Chase Sui Wonders, and Myha’la Herrod, which adds to the excitement. All of this, together with the movie’s nearly universally positive reviews from those who saw it at South by Southwest, should make it a must-see for fans of both horror and humor when it opens in US theatres on August 5.
Charli XCX Teases Her New Song In Bodies Slasher Film
On April 26, A24 unveiled the trailer for the films. After the first trailer debuted in late April, a second one for the campy film was released on July 12. Both trailers do an excellent job of hinting at Charli’s song. Check it out above. In May, while discussing the song with Elite Daily, Charli says, “I haven’t actually seen the final movie, but the version of the movie that I saw was truly amazing — really funny and kind of campy, and I just loved it.”
The film is directed by Halina Reijn that centres on a group of young adults on a remote trip and participating in the murder-mystery game “Bodies, Bodies, Bodies.” It’s evident from the trailer that someone ended up dead.
The story is written by Kristen Roupenian and then turned into a screenplay by Sarah DeLappe. The satirical slasher has an R rating and an hour and 35-minute run time. The film, combining Gen Z aesthetics, slasher movies, and a classic locked-door country house murder, will probably be popular among moviegoers.
The film will have its theatrical release on August 5.
