Ironheart Series Alden Ehrenreich Confirmed in a Key Role

Marvel’s Ironheart series is silently gaining traction with new updates. Dominique Thorne, who previously won acclaim for her performance in Judas and the Black Messiah is going to star as the superhero in the titular role and portraying the lead character of Riri Williams. Ironheart is the second female superhero series made for the streaming service Disney+ after Ms. Marvel. Ironheart is all set to debut in Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever.

Ironheart Cast and Details

The latest update is the show now seemed to have cast ‘Solo’ actor Alden Ehrenreich in a key role and previously it’s been revealed that Anthony Ramos and Manny Montana were also part of the cast.

Ironheart series is going to release sometime in 2023 and further clarity on a proper release date might be revealed in D23 convention, which is going to take place soon. The production is in full swing as filming started last month. The plot details of Ironheart were currently under wraps, but Kevin Feige has said that Ironheart will appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, slated to release on Nov.11 2022. The show consists six episodes like all other MCU series according to THR. Chinaka Hodge will serve as head writer and creator of the show.

Ironheart in comics is a teen genius who tries to build a Iron Man type kinda suit of armor and he’s a big fan of Tony Stark just like Ms. Marvel AKA Kamala Khan is a fan of Captain Marvel/Carol Denvers. While testing out her suit, she apprehends two escaped inmates from prison, but her suit gets damaged and she tries to fix it at home. That’s when Tony Stark drops by, giving her his blessing to become a superhero. Riri’s best friend and stepdad die in a drive-by shooting. The name Ironheart is inspired by “the armor that Riri has been trying to build around herself ever since, both literally and figuratively,” according to Marvel.
