2024 hasn’t been the best the year for horror movies until now, however, we’re just getting started now. Many appealing horror movies are slated to release later this year. But don’t forget it is not a complete drought for horror movies, a movie called Immaculate has released in theatres that has been hailed as one of the best movies of the year, especially because of Sydney Sweeney’s career best performance. The film was made on a budget of $9 million and has already collected more than $13 million at the box office. For a female leading indie film, this is an amazing turnout. Clearly Immaculate has done something right. However, if you live in a region where the film hasn’t released then don’t worry here’s when you can watch it online.
Immaculate Digital Release Date Revealed!
A recent listing on dvdreleasedates revealed that Immaculate will be available for purchase or rent on digital and VOD platforms like Vudu, Apple iTunes and Amazon Prime Video from June 11th, 2024. This will give the Michael Mohan directorial an exclusive theatre time of 81 days. Given that this a NEON production, this is a perfectly normal theatre-to-digital release window.
The studio is known for being old school and only make their movies available on digital platforms around 90 days after their theatrical release date. We don’t have an update on the film’s DVD and Blu-ray release date as of now. If and when we get it, I’ll make sure to let you guys know.
Immaculate focuses on Sister Cecilia (Sydney Sweeney), an American nun who embarks on a new journey when she joins a remote convent in the Italian countryside. However, her warm welcome quickly turns into a living nightmare when she discovers her new home harbours a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors.
Apart from Sydney Sweeney as the lead, the film also stars Benedetta Porcaroli and Simona Tabasco. The Sydney Sweeney starrer boasts a Rotten Tomatoes score of 71% from 150 reviews (audience score: 60%) and an IMDb rating of 6.3/10.
